At 11:00 a.m. today, "BUTCHOY" has maintained its strength as it continues to move northward.
Tropical Storm "Butchoy" is estimated based on satellite and surface data at 460 km East of Basco, Batanesr (20.2°N, 126.9°E) with maximum sustained winds of 185 kph near the center and gustiness of up to 220 kph .
Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) forecast shows that Butchoy is moving North at 22 kph.
As of this time, no public storm warning signals raised.

Tuesday morning: 920 km Northeast of Basco, Batanes or 170 km Northeast of Okinawa, Japan
Typhoon "Butchoy" is expected to enhance the Southwest Monsoon that will bring rains over Luzon especially over its western section, and over Western Visayas which may trigger flashfloods and landslides.
Estimated rainfall amount is from 15 - 25 mm per hour (heavy) within the 500 km diameter of the Typhoon.
Fishing boats and other small seacrafts are advised not to venture out into the seaboards of Luzon and Visayas due to the big waves generated by the combined effects of Typhoon "Butchoy" and the Southwest Monsoon.
