Parts of the Computer

1.    Monitor – It is a video screen which display information.
2.    CPU – Also known as a brain of the computer and heart of the computer.
3.    Keyboard – a keyboard is a device that contains the keys to type information into the computer.
4.    Mouse – is an input device that uses to manipulate objects on the screen.
5.    Disk Drive – slot into which magnetic diskette is inserted
6.    CD Drive – slot where CD/DVD is inserted.
7.    AVR (Automatic Voltage Regulator) -  regulates power of electricity from outside pass to the computer.
8.    Printer – receives output from the computer and print it on a paper.
9.    Hard Disk – a secondary device but it is much faster than the floppy disk. This can store billions of characters on a non-laser technology.
10.   Cables – are used to connect all computer parts and network.


Accessories

1.    Scanner – is a light-sensing input device that reads printed text an and graphics and then resulted into a form the computer can use.

Type of Scanner:

a.   Flatbed Scanner – To scan  single sheets of paper and pages from a book, pictures and other resources. This is also used in scanning larger documents.
b.   Hand-held Scanner – AS Hand-held scanner usually has a scanning width of approximately four inches and is useful for copying small images such as signature, barcode, logos and small photographs.
2.    Speakers – The speakers is an output device which will allows you to hear the sound generated by your computer.
3.    Web Cam – used to capture picture and video directly on the computer.
4.    Modem - A device for transmitting usually digital data over telephone wires by modulating the data into an audio signal to send it and demodulating an audio signal into data to receive it.
5.    Hubs - A common connection point for devices in a network.
6.    Head phones- a pair of small loudspeakers, or less commonly a single speaker.
7.    Multimedia Projector -Outputs large image on the board.
8.    Telephone
