PAGASA Weather Forecast and Update Today


Southwest Monsoon affecting the western section of Luzon. 

The regions of Ilocos and Cordillera and the provinces of Cagayan, Zambales, Bataan, Batanes and Babuyan group of islands will experience cloudy skies with light to moderate rainshowers and thunderstorms. Metro Manila and the rest of the country will be partly cloudy to cloudy with isolated rainshowers or thunderstorms. 

Moderate to strong winds blowing from the southwest to south will prevail over the western section of Luzon and Visayas and the coastal waters along these areas will be moderate to rough. Elsewhere, winds will be light to moderate coming from the southeast to south with slight to moderate seas.

Moderate to occasionally strong winds blowing from the southwest to southeast will prevail over the western section of Luzon and its coastal waters will be moderate to occasionally rough. Light to moderate winds coming from the east to southeast over the rest of Luzon and of Visayas and from the east to northeast over Mindanao with slight to moderate seas.

PAGASA Weather News and Forecast Today July 26, 2013 at 4:00 am today, a Low pressure area (LPA) was estimated based on all available data at 600 km East of General Santos city (6.0°N, 131.0°E) embedded along the Intertropical Convergence Zone (ITCZ) affecting Mindanao. Monsoon trough affecting Northern and Central Luzon. 

Mindanao will experience cloudy skies with moderate to occasionally heavy rainshowers and thunderstorms which may trigger flashfloods and landslides. Visayas and the regions of Ilocos, Cordillera, Cagayan and Central Luzon will have cloudy skies with light to moderate rainshowers and thunderstorms. Metro Manila and the rest of Luzon will be partly cloudy to cloudy with isolated rainshowers or thunderstorms. 

Moderate to occasionally strong winds blowing from the southwest to southeast will prevail over the western section of Northern and Central Luzon and the coastal waters along these areas will be moderate to occasionally rough. Light to moderate winds coming from the northeast to southeast will prevail over the rest of Luzon and Visayas and coming from the northeast to northwest over Mindanao.
